Handcrafted from sustainably sourced German birch wood, the Serena All-in-One transitions through five configurations: bedside crib, mini cot, full-size cot bed, toddler bed and first bed. All the components required for these stages are included, providing a flexible sleep solution that grows with your child.

Begin with the bedside crib, keeping your newborn close for night-time feeds and cuddles. As your baby grows, convert it into a compact mini cot, then expand it into a full-size cot bed when more sleeping space is needed. The final stages transition into a toddler bed and first bed, helping your child move towards independent sleeping.

The bedside crib features six adjustable height positions to help align it with your bed. Its slatted sides and base support airflow, while the mini cot can be fitted with optional lockable swivel wheels to make moving it between rooms easier.

Made from sustainably sourced birch wood, the Serena All-in-One is composite-free, contains no MDF and is designed with low emissions in mind. Its gently curved contours and contrasting walnut legs bring a distinctive finish to a thoughtfully designed nursery essential.

At Gaia Baby, your baby’s safety comes first, right down to the air they breathe. Our materials are certified to meet and surpass global safety limits for formaldehyde and VOC emissions, ensuring cleaner air and a safer nursery environment.

Formaldehyde & VOCs: While there is currently no compulsory limit in the UK or EU, we choose to meet and exceed the world’s strictest requirements. Australia has the latest and toughest testing standards for formaldehyde (no more than 0.5 ppm). Our materials tested at less than 0.2 ppm, far below the limit.

Other Toxic Elements: All our woods, paints, and finishes are independently tested to exceed all EN,UK & Aus/NZ standards. This ensures they’re free from harmful levels of heavy metals or other toxic compounds.

What this means for you: Every Gaia Baby nursery item is certified to the new Australian Consumer Goods (Infant Sleep Products) Safety Standard 2025, giving you total peace of mind that your baby’s furniture is safe, non-toxic, and built for healthier sleep.

For a practical changing solution, the separately available Hera Changing Station fits securely on top of the dresser, creating a forward-facing changing area that keeps your baby and essentials within easy reach. Once your child has outgrown the nappy-changing stage, the dresser can continue to be used for clothing and storage in a bedroom or other living space.

No, our Serena Cot Bed does not come with the mattress. The mattress size required is 70 x 140cm, but due to the unique curves of the Serena Cot, a standard mattress may not fit. We recommend purchasing the bespoke Serena Cot Bed Mattress.

The Serena Cot Bed is designed to grow with your child from birth up to 5 years old.

The Serena All-in-One converts through multiple stages: Bedside Crib, Mini Cot, Cot Bed High Mattress (0-6 months), Cot Bed Low Mattress (6 months - 3 years), Toddler Bed (3-4 years), First Bed (4-5 years)

It is recommended to use the Cot Bed with the mattress in the higher position until your baby begins to roll over or pull up, usually at around 6 months old. Once you notice these signs, it is recommended to lower the height of the mattress.

The Serena Cot Bed features a dual mattress height adjustment. You can lower the mattress height as your baby grows and becomes more active. Follow the steps in the instruction manual to find out how to lower the mattress height

This will depend on your child. If they are asking to move to a "big bed" or you feel they are ready to do so, the toddler bed provides a safe, familiar transition stage. Adding the Serena Toddler Rail (sold separately) can give extra security and piece of mind.

Our Serena Cot Bed can be converted from a bedside crib (add-on sold separately) to a junior bed, growing with your child from day one up to 5 years old. The cot bed also stands out due to its unique contoured design with soft flowing lines, creating a serene and cosy sleep space for your child. It is also made to stand the test of time, crafted from solid birch wood and is fully safety certified.

All our items and materials are tested to meet the highest global standards and these tests include ensuring that all materials are baby-safe without any harmful chemicals.

Formaldehyde is a natural gas found in all wood and every piece naturally contains some very very small level of formaldehyde. No wooden furniture can actually claim to be 100% formaldehyde free but our Cot is 100% true/solid wood that is proven to have the lowest level of formaldehyde vs MDF or Chipboard variants.
