Hera Convertible Cot Bed

Designed to grow with your child, the Hera Cot Bed is suitable from birth to approximately five years. It features three adjustable mattress heights to accommodate your baby’s changing needs and converts into a toddler bed and first bed, with the necessary conversion parts included. For even longer use, a separate Hera Junior Bed Extension allows the bed to be used up to approximately seven years.

Hera Dresser

The matching Hera Dresser offers generous storage for baby clothes, blankets, bedding and changing essentials. It features three spacious soft-close drawers and a cupboard with two adjustable shelves, helping you keep everyday necessities organised and close at hand.

The dresser top includes a safety lip to help prevent items from rolling off and is designed to accommodate the Hera Changing Station, sold separately.

At Gaia Baby, your baby’s safety comes first, right down to the air they breathe. Our materials are certified to meet and surpass global safety limits for formaldehyde and VOC emissions, ensuring cleaner air and a safer nursery environment.

Formaldehyde & VOCs: While there is currently no compulsory limit in the UK or EU, we choose to meet and exceed the world’s strictest requirements. Australia has the latest and toughest testing standards for formaldehyde (no more than 0.5 ppm). Our materials tested at less than 0.2 ppm, far below the limit.

Other Toxic Elements: All our woods, paints, and finishes are independently tested to exceed all EN,UK & Aus/NZ standards. This ensures they’re free from harmful levels of heavy metals or other toxic compounds.

What this means for you: Every Gaia Baby nursery item is certified to the new Australian Consumer Goods (Infant Sleep Products) Safety Standard 2025, giving you total peace of mind that your baby’s furniture is safe, non-toxic, and built for healthier sleep.

The Hera Changing Station Unit is sustainably sourced natural ash wood and comes with a bespoke changing pad. This baby changing station is designed to sit on top of your Gaia Baby Hera Dresser, to create a perfect changing table, it also fits snugly across your Hera cot. With a deep 8cm rim, your baby will be safe and secure during nappy changes. 

When not in use, your Hera Changing Station can be stowed away on a wall on its' Shaker style' Hanging Rail (sold separately).

Is the Changing Pad included in my purchase? 

The Hera Over Cot Changing Station includes a bespoke changing pad in your purchase.

This thoughtfully designed pad offers both comfort and practicality, ensuring a safe changing experience for your baby.

The changing pad features a waterproof zipped PVC cover, which can be easily wiped clean with a mild disinfectant. While the pad is safe to use without an additional cover, using a towel or cotton cover may enhance your baby's comfort. Safety

Ensure the Hera Changing Station Unit is securely positioned on the Hera Dresser, Serena Dresser, or Hera Cot before use. The grooves at the bottom of the unit are designed to fit the dresser and cot snugly.

  • Never leave your baby unattended on the changing station.
  • The deep 8cm rim is designed to prevent your baby from rolling off, but always keep one hand on your baby during changes.
  • Regularly inspect the changing station for any signs of wear or damage, especially around the attachment points.
  • Use the bespoke changing pad provided, and ensure it is clean and dry before each use.

No, our Hera Cot Bed does not come with the mattress. The mattress size required is 60 x 120cm, our Hera Mattress is a perfect fit.

Don't forget to pick up the fitted sheets too!

Yes you absolutely can use the top of the Hera Dresser for changing your little one! We do have the Hera Changing Station available to purchase separately, which fits on top both the Hera Dresser and the Hera Cot Bed for added convenience.

The Hera Cot is tested to EN716. In order to pass this standard, the cot in the top position, is drop tested with a weight of 10kg.

In First Bed mode, the Hera Cot is tested to BS8509. As part of this standard, the bed base is drop tested with a weight of 35kg. Thus we can say the cot is suitable for a baby (in top position) up to 10kg, and for a toddler/child (in first bed position) up to 35kg.

It is advised for safety reasons, you use the wall strap provided to attach your dresser to the wall. Please follow assembly steps in the instruction booklet pages 12-13.

Each of the drawers are nice and deep with plenty of room to store all your baby essentials. Each drawer is 69.7cm wide, 55.5cm deep and has a height of 17.7cm.

When do I need to adjust the height of the Hera Cot Bed?

Top position/Newborn
Once your baby starts to roll/turnover or pull up in the cot, this is the stage at which you must lower the mattress height to the next position

Mid position Once your baby is able to
sit up unaided or has reached a weight of 10kg, this is the stage at which it is recommended you lower the mattress to the lowest position

Lowest Position
Your baby can stay in the cot in
this position as long as they are happy. Generally, at age 3-4, your toddler will ask to move to a big bed. This is your trigger to transition to ‘Toddler Bed’ mode.

If adjusting the height of the mattress to the mid-position, replace rail to complete.

The Hera cot bed is made from real Ash wood.

Ash trees are drought resistant and will grow well in many different soil types. Ash wood is an incredibly hard and durable wood type. Unique amongst hard woods, ash trees capture carbon from the atmosphere, and ash furniture stores it for decades. 

We source the wood from North America and don’t use any MDF or Chipboard in our furniture and all woods, materials, glues, varnishes, paints and finishes all conform to stringent global standards.

All our items and materials are tested to meet the highest global standards and these tests include ensuring that all materials are baby-safe without any harmful chemicals.

Formaldehyde is a natural gas found in all wood and every piece naturally contains some very very small level of formaldehyde. No wooden furniture can actually claim to be 100% formaldehyde free but our Cot is 100% true/solid wood that is proven to have the lowest level of formaldehyde vs MDF or Chipboard variants.

The Hera Wardrobe has two internal sections, each measuring H: 105 cm, W: 59 cm D: 61 cm.

The Hera Wardrobe features a deep, soft-close drawer at the bottom, measuring at H: 16.7 cm W: 108 cm D: 56.3 cm
