The rise of social media has seen an increase in young girls and tweens and dare we say, even younger, girls from the age of 6 or 7, who are curious about and into skincare. While some applaud this, others wonder why little girls can't just be little girls, which leads to the question...Why should kids and tween have a skincare routine?
The answer is simple - as our first line of defence against the outer world, the skin is truly a sensitive organ. And while it does a great job of protecting us from foreign particles and the likes, all the pollutants and toxins from the modern world may cause the skin's natural barrier to falter, which is why skincare has become a new necessity, even at a younger age.
