Designed to co-ordinate with your Serena Rocking & Feeding Chair, the Serena Footstool offers extra support for feet with the added practicality of ample storage space for feeding or changing essentials. The Serena footstool is finished with sturdy Oak Legs/

Available in a range of premium fabrics to match your Serena chair:

Oat: Finished in fine textured and durable polyester, it will withstand the wear and tear of little fingers throughout the years. 

Bouclé: a soft, durable, textured fabric made with tiny loops of yarn. Visually interesting, this tactile textured fabric offers greater warmth and durability to withstand regular wear and tear. 

Corduroy: Known for its luxurious feel and versatility, corduroy has emerged as a design favourite, effortlessly elevating living spaces with a subtle nod to retro sophistication.

Materials & Emissions

At Gaia Baby, your baby’s safety comes first, right down to the air they breathe. Our materials are certified to meet and surpass global safety limits for formaldehyde and VOC emissions, ensuring cleaner air and a safer nursery environment.

Formaldehyde & VOCs: While there is currently no compulsory limit in the UK or EU, we choose to meet and exceed the world’s strictest requirements. Australia has the latest and toughest testing standards for formaldehyde (no more than 0.5 ppm). Our materials tested at less than 0.2 ppm, far below the limit.

Other Toxic Elements: All our woods, paints, and finishes are independently tested to exceed all EN,UK & Aus/NZ standards. This ensures they’re free from harmful levels of heavy metals or other toxic compounds.

What this means for you: Every Gaia Baby nursery item is certified to the new Australian Consumer Goods (Infant Sleep Products) Safety Standard 2025, giving you total peace of mind that your baby’s furniture is safe, non-toxic,
and built for healthier sleep.

The Serena Footstool is tested and fully certified to:

  • AS/NZS ISO 8124 Part 3:2021 & Amd.1:2023 – Safety of toys – Part 3: Migration of certain elements (Toxicity test)
  • AS/NZS 4266.1:2017 – Reconstituted wood-based panels – Methods of test – General requirements (E1 grade formaldehyde emission if tested before 1 November 2023. After that date, E0 grade formaldehyde emission is required)

Flame retardant treatment of fabrics is a legal requirement in the UK. Gaia Baby products meet all applicable UK flame retardancy legislation (EN/BS standards). 

All our products are tested at an independent, internationally accredited testing facility to ensure they meet the requirements of the latest EN/BS standards.

The Serena Footstools are upholstered in a durable and hardwearing polyester fabric. We recommend spot cleaning the fabric with a clean damp cloth and some gentle detergent.

YES! The top of the footstool is cushioned to be nice and comfy.
